4 TVFC Annual Picnic &
meeting will be at Dan & Penny Glasgow’s this year after we participate in the
Greenback Fourth of July parade! The parade is at
1:00pm, but all show cars for the parade
must be at the Greenback High School at 12:00 noon to get in line. My suggestion is
that we all meet at the Greenback Baptist Church parking lot between 11:30-11:45 am, then
caravan over to the school entrance approx. 30 seconds away. The church is on
Hwy 95 across from the rescue squad building. This is a
central location since the entry to the school will be on Morganton Road next to the
Greenback Community Center and Fire Hall. By doing this, we will all enter the
school together at the same time, and be in line together. All those who have the
magnet club logo sign, please bring and we can put on our doors to advertise our club.
Now......for a traffic construction update. Those traveling through
Lenoir City on US Hwy 321 will want to find a different route. The Ft.Loudon Dam
bridge has construction on the top, and
the wait time is 25-50 minutes in line to get across. It is horrible, trust me.
I suggest for those of you traveling from the south, that you may want to try
coming US Hwy 411 North. You can pick it up from Chattanooga or Cleveland, and head
north going through Benton, Etowah, Madisonville, Vonore, and then turn left on US Hwy 95
to Greenback. Proceed into town, you will come to a flashing red light at a four way
stop. Turn left. You will pass the Greenback Drug
Store and Post Office, then the Rescue Squad Building, Hwy 95 veers to the right, you will see the big brick
Greenback Baptist Church on your right. After the parade, we will then caravan over
to our house for the picnic. As we discussed, depending on the weather that week, we
may have a "Plan B" to eat at the pavilion in Greenback in case no one wants
muddy tires from our driveway back into the woods. Penny

Suncoast Chapter has first priority, then FCA members are welcome on a first come first served basis. Let Dave Wagner know if you want to apply for a spot and are not listed below.
